I've done quite a lot of commission work over the years, and I haven't yet been paid a penny. That's because I've got this nasty habit of agreeing to supply painting services to charities and being bullied into helping out on tournament exclusives.
These teams are very different, but they've all been fun. Some have been a bit quicker, but others have been seriously involved projects. I'm pleased to say that these teams have gone to some very worthy causes, and the Norse team alone have raised £500 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, as they've been sold twice at the Thrud Bowl Auction.
Individual miniatures are a great opportunity to experiment with styles and methods. I've done freehand on Glart, skin tones on Thrud, even sculpting an admittedly simple model from start to finish. I'd really recommend painting to someone else's specification as it really forces you to change your game.
