I'm a huge fan of the BB2016 Human team. They're characterful, clean and look exactly how Blood Bowl players should look.
Unfortunately, there aren't enough positionals.
Because I hate duplicate poses in modern models (I'll ignore it for the 'classic' ones), I did a lot of converting to make this team shine. The blitzers were pretty straightforward, largely with a few hand swaps, but there were also a couple of more significant rebuilds.
Another extremely characterful model that only comes in one pose. I painted these for the Thrud Auction before any of the extras came out - those nice shiny Forge World positionals and conversion packs.
So, a couple of minor repositions and a head swap later, and we have two very different human throwers.
I think I painted this before the BB2016 Ogre came out, and I certainly painted this Blood Bowl team before I was willing to pay the Forge World prices (I'm still not willing).
Therefore, I needed a substitute.
Luckily I had an old Morg'n'Thorg who fits this team perfectly. It was also a great excuse to paint him, as I have been wanting to paint him for ages.
He can play as himself, or as a normal Ogre.
A brilliantly dynamic pose that looks terrible when it is seen four times, all across the pitch; it's also one that is really hard to convert.
There's simply a limit to what you can do. I did a hand swap, which was a good start, but the catcher stretching for a score is a bit clumsy. For the final player, I simply had to do a leg swap - those legs are just too limiting.
